Privacy Policy

This policy explains how SpotDuel Gaming LLC ("SpotDuel", "we", "us") handles personal information when you use the SpotDuel website at spotduel.com, our mobile applications and our challenges (together, the "Service"). SpotDuel is the controller of that information.

Account information. Your email address, the display name you choose and your password, which is stored only in an encrypted form that we cannot read.

Gameplay information. The challenges you enter, the positions of the spots you place, your scores, rank, experience level and tier, your balances of SpotDollars, Tickets and Points, rewards claimed and prizes won.

Private challenge entries. If you enter a challenge shared with you by link, the name and email address you type on the entry form.

Prize information. If you win, the details needed to verify you and deliver the prize, such as your full name, delivery address and any confirmation of age or identity we are required to collect.

Technical information. Device and browser type, operating system, approximate region derived from your IP address, crash and error reports, and basic usage statistics such as pages opened and features used.

We do not collect precise location data, contacts, photos or biometric data, and we do not handle your card details — purchases made in the mobile apps are processed by Apple or Google.

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To run challenges, score entries, rank players and award prizes.
• To keep balances, rewards and progress saved between sessions and devices.
• To detect and prevent cheating, duplicate accounts, fraud and abuse.
• To answer support requests and send service messages such as password resets.
• To fix crashes and improve the Service.
• To meet legal, tax and prize-reporting obligations.

We rely on the performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interest in running a fair and secure game, your consent where it is required, and our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share information only with:

• Service providers who host our platform, store data, deliver email and report crashes, acting on our instructions.
• The organiser of a private challenge you enter, who receives the name and email you supplied on that entry form.
• Prize suppliers and sponsors, where we need to pass on the details required to deliver a prize you have won.
• Authorities or advisers where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
• A buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganised.

Winners may be published by display name and general location only. We ask for your agreement before using your full name or image in promotion.

We keep account and gameplay information while your account is open and for up to 24 months after it is closed, so that challenge results and balances can be verified. Prize and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, normally seven years. Crash and usage logs are kept for up to 12 months.

Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored hashed, and access to player data is limited to staff who need it. Challenge winning points are held on our servers and are never sent to your device before a challenge closes. No system is perfectly secure, but we review our safeguards regularly.

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. You may also withdraw consent where we relied on it, and you will not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, email support@spotduel.com from the address on your account. We reply within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your profile, balances and entries, except records we must keep for legal reasons. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

SpotDuel is for adults. The Service is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a child has created an account, we close it and delete the information.

Our providers may store and process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where information leaves your region we rely on recognised safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect it.

We use only what the Service needs to work: a sign-in session token, and local storage on your device for settings, cooldown timers and progress. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will highlight significant changes in the Service.
